This event is for Clubs to enter their selected Junior Teams so if you wish to play please speak to the Junior Organiser at your club. Please note that an 'Online Parental Consent Form' MUST be completed and submitted prior to check-in on the day of the Championship. The safety and welfare of juniors at our championships is paramount. It is important that we have a note of all relevant contact details, illnesses, medical condition and other relevant health details relating to all junior competitors so that their best interests are addressed. Please complete the online parental consent form with our assurance that the information you provide will be treated as confidential. It is the responsibility of the junior and their parent/guardian to notify the Gloucestershire Golf Union Championship Department if any of the details change at any time.
Conditions of Play and Qualification 1. Conditions of Play a The championship shall be played over 18 holes Handicap Stableford. The R&A Rules of Golf will apply. b Each Club team shall consist of 3 players (Boys, Girls or Mixed). c The winning Club shall be the Club with the highest aggregate stableford score over 18 holes, taking the best 2 scores out of 3. In the event of a tie the third stableford score will be taken and decided on the 18-hole aggregate total. If a tie still arises the result shall be decided on the count back (i.e. 9 or 6 or 3 or 1 taking all three scores into account). d Players may NOT use caddies. Penalty for Breach of Condition: Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred. Maximum penalty per round: four strokes. 2. Prizes a The winning Club shall be the County Junior Team Champions and will receive a trophy to hold for the year. Mementos or vouchers shall be awarded to members of the winning team and second placed team. b The winning Club will be invited to send a team to represent Gloucestershire in the England Golf Junior Champion Club Final at Woodhall Spa in August 2021. The winning Club will receive some financial assistance towards the cost of accommodation from the County Union. 3. Qualification a Each affiliated GLCGA/GGU Club shall be eligible to enter up to 2 teams to compete in the tournament. The cost of each entry shall be £30 per team of 3. b The choice of team selection shall be at the discretion of the Club. c The maximum 'handicap index' shall be 36.0 for boys and 36.0 for girls and players must include their England Golf Membership CDH ID Nos. In addition each member of the team must: d Be under 18 years on 1st January in the year the championship takes place. e Be a current member of the Club they represent. f Have nominated the Club as her/his Home Club for handicapping purposes. g Not have played for any other Club in any competitive event during the current season within the County in which the Club is affiliated
